Built for the way you actually watch
Loudoun County has a lot of finished basements, and they make great theaters: low light, plenty of space, and often framing that's still open enough to run wire. We design and install home theaters and media rooms for movie nights, game days and gaming, from a simple 5.1 setup around a big TV to a fully dedicated room with a projector, screen and Dolby Atmos ceiling speakers.
Recent project: basement theater with a fixed-frame screen
A finished basement turned into a dedicated theater: a large fixed-frame projection screen on a dark accent wall, the projector set and aligned to fill the frame edge to edge, floorstanding front speakers, a center channel and subwoofer, and every source run to the media console. Dark walls and ceiling keep the picture bright and the colors deep even with the recessed lights on.

What we install
- Projectors and screens — ceiling-mounted projectors, ultra short throw (UST) projectors, fixed-frame and motorized screens, with lens and throw-distance alignment. ($400 – $1,800)
- Large-screen TVs — 75" to 98"+ displays mounted and wired as the center of a media room.
- Surround sound — soundbars to full 5.1, 7.1 and Dolby Atmos systems with in-wall, in-ceiling or floorstanding speakers. ($300 – $1,500)
- AV receiver and source setup — receiver, streaming, cable/satellite, gaming consoles and Blu-ray, all switching cleanly.
- Calibration — speaker levels and distances, room correction and picture settings so dialogue is clear and the picture is right.
- One-remote control — a universal remote or app so anyone in the family can turn it all on.
- Lighting and shades — dimmable lights and motorized shades that drop when the movie starts.
How a home theater project works
1. Walkthrough. We visit, measure the room, check seating distance, light, wiring paths and power, and talk through how you watch. 2. Design and written quote. You get equipment options at your budget (or we design around gear you already own) and a written labor price. 3. Pre-wire. If you're finishing a basement, we run speaker and HDMI wire before the drywall goes up, which costs much less than retrofitting. 4. Install and calibrate. We mount, connect, tune the room and teach you the system. 5. Support. The same person who installed it picks up the phone if you have a question.
Finishing a basement? Call us before the drywall
New basements in Ashburn, Brambleton, South Riding, Leesburg and Aldie are the best time to plan a theater. Pre-wiring speaker locations, a projector drop and conduit to the equipment rack while the studs are open makes the finished room cleaner and the job cheaper. We're happy to work alongside your general contractor.
